I would like to tell those of us who would love to learn how to swim but have never invested the time or effort in doing so, you’re not alone! I’ve met several people over the past months who agreed with me on the above statement. It turns out a lot of people aren’t confident swimmers but wish they were. If you are one of them, don’t procrastinate any longer. You are in the prime environment weather-wise to do lessons regularly. If you’re in the north

To the north of Patong you will find Kamala Beach, Surin Beach, and Bang Tao Beach. If you are in these areas, the best swim club to go to would be in Phuket Town:

  • Torwai Nakorn Phuket Swimming Club is a swim club founded by a retired Thai swimmer. Torwai, the club’s founder and teacher, is a retired Thai long-distance freestyle swimmer. With his Olympic experience, you’ll be able to learn some fantastic methods to kick-start your swimming.

  • Headstart International School is both a primary and secondary school. The swimming Academy is open to students every Monday and daily during P.E lessons.

  • Open daily from 8:30am, the PPAO Sports Club Swimming Pool in Sapan Hin has  8 lanes and is 50 meters long. The facilities and pool are basic but if you’re in the area it’s a good place to get some extra practice in! Coach merit arranges swim meets and lessons on a weekly basis.
