BRAND & CULTURE

Founder's Explanation of the Brand

For me, a logo and a company name need to have a meaning – it should be more meaningful than just a phantasy name or a nice graphic. It should explain the story of who you are and what makes you tick.

For the name of our brand, we decided to choose a combination of two meaningful words from the ancient Sanskrit Language – THANYA and PURA. Sanskrit has been rich in poetry and its expressive quality of bringing out the best meaning through perfect sounds that are soothing to the human ear.

It contains philosophical terms which are not to be found in any other language. The consonants and vowels are flexible enough to be grouped together to express nuanced ideas. Sanskrit has had a major impact on many cultures, countries and languages, including the Chinese language.

THANYA

Can be translated as wealth, prosperity, flourishing and ABUNDANCE

PURA

Means place, settlement, and LAND

Our interpretation of THANYAPURA has the meaning of “The Land of Abundance” – the place where you will find everything you wish for and even more.

Founder's Explanation of the Logo & Culture

We chose an image of the Lotus Flower to become our logo. The Lotus Plant grows in the mud deep down in the water, far away from the sun. Perhaps comparable with many of us people living in a sick world, breathing in polluted air, living in congested cities, experiencing burn-outs and stress, eating unhealthy nutrition, and being addicted to mobile phones and social media.

However, sooner or later, the Lotus Plant reaches the surface – the light – becoming the most beautiful blossom ever. The Lotus flower is regarded in many different cultures as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Here again, we see a parallel – people, who learn from their mistakes and start to convert to a healthy lifestyle, suddenly regenerating, like starting a second life and experiencing Happiness.

5 PETALS equal 5 SENSES

Our Lotus Flower has five petals representing the five human senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste). People’s senses play a unique and significant role, enabling us to receive information from the environment around us through our eyes, ears, skin, nose, and the tongue, thus relaying it to the human brain for interpretation. On receiving and interpreting the information, our brain instructs the body how to respond.

We at Thanyapura strive for positively enlivening the senses of our guests. Our resort design and facilities, our programs, and most importantly, our kind people and professional talents providing excellent mindful and attentive services, inspire our guests and optimizes their lives.

THE 3 COLORS represent BODY, MIND, and SOUL

The body/mind/soul connection teaches that each one of us is blessed with unique talents and special gifts. We can and must unite our body, mind and soul in the pursuit of the noble and transcendent goals to live a happier live, to take care of people around us, and to make the world a better place.

Blue

Represents the sky, the sea and the infinite. It has positive effects on the mind and the soul.

Green

Is the colour of the earth, nature and energy, it is associated with the meanings of natural growth and of a healthy life.

Purple

Is the colour of universal love of oneself and of others. It represents harmony, inner peace, and spirituality.
