United Soccer Coaches Partnership Announced

Thanyapura health and sports resorts is pleased to announce its partnership with united soccer coaches. Founded in 1941 and based in Kansas City, Mo., United Soccer Coaches (formerly known as NSCAA) is the largest football coaching membership association in the world, providing coach education and training from grassroots to elite level coaches.

United Soccer Coaches has trained tens of thousands of coaches in North America, South America and Europe and now looks to expand its footprint into Asia. Football is the most popular sport in Asia, and the affiliation with Thanyapura will provide coaches in Asia with established and structured coaching and diploma programs designed by United Soccer Coaches and delivered at Thanyapura Health and Sports Resort in Phuket.

United Soccer Coaches will offer short-term intensive courses, online courses and on-site personal training hosted exclusively at Thanyapura Hotel & Sports Resort in Phuket. The training courses will fill a gap in the market for shorter course programs that are both time and cost effective. The first training course in 2020 will be a National Diploma course followed by an Advanced National Diploma course, culminating with a Premier Diploma course at the end of the year.

Soccer coaches from some of the world’s top soccer clubs and federations have delivered ongoing coach education at the United Soccer Coaches convention, including Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayern Munich, along with staff from national teams in men’s and women’s football.

Steve Wallace, Head of Football at Thanyapura Health and Sports Resort, says that the popularity of soccer in Asia demands ongoing training programs for coaches of all levels – from school coaches to club coaches all the way to professional level coaches. “The best coaches seek continuing education and training, and our affiliation with United Soccer Coaches will provide Asian coaches with new courses to improve their skills and those of their players.”
