The Phuket International Academy Day School seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced teachers for the following positions, as from August 2013. PIADS is an IB World School and preference is always given to candidates who have successful teaching experience in another IB World School. All teachers at PIADS must possess at least an initial degree (a master’s degree is preferred) and a teaching qualification.
The school currently runs through MYP four (grade nine). Next year, it will add MYP five (grade ten) and it is intended to commence the IB Diploma programme in the summer of 2014. The school is currently in candidate status for both the MYP and the DP.
Middle school teacher of music and drama
The successful candidate will be expected to teach music and drama throughout the middle school and may also be asked to take the programme through to DP level in 2014. This will involve the candidate's having MYP and/or DP experience.
