Middle School
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the Middle School of Phuket International Academy Day School.
As Middle School Principal and Interim Director of Studies, I am excited to be able to work with not only students and teachers, but also with all PIADS community members as we seek truth and act with compassion as a learning community. I feel fortunate that through my past 15 years of experience in education I have worked with a large age range and have had a chance to teach many disciplines. These experiences have provided me with multiple perspectives of what it means to be a life-long learner. I have taught Pre-K, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9, and Grade 10 aged students (and coached all the way up to Grade 12).Additionally, I have facilitated learning with adults through roles such as Middle School Coordinator, MYP Coordinator, K-12 Professional Development Coordinator, and as a Workshop Leader for the IB. In my teaching experiences, I have taught Mathematics, Science, Health, PE, Drama, Technology, Humanities, and Language A English. Through all of this, I am drawn to PIADS for its commitment to the IB Programmes as well as Social Emotional Learning and Mindfulness.
I am inspired to be part of PIADS continual growth as it becomes one of the leading schools of Thailand, S.E. Asia, and the entire planet.
