Tennis Academy

Thanyapura Sports and Leisure Club's world-class Tennis Academy features six ‘Plexicushion’ competition standard tennis courts, four covered for indoor play, and two outdoor courts. Tennis Director Roger Cochrane, of leading tennis management company Peter Burwash International, brings his considerable experience in club, junior, and elite level coaching to the Thanyapura community.

Under Coach Cochrane, the tennis programme include ladies’ tennis mornings, children’s training camps and evening clinics.

TSLC’s Tennis Academy hosts regional and international tournaments and welcomes teams from around the world coming to train on these courts, as well as visiting regional tennis clubs seeking a weekend away.

Facilities include a grandstand with seating and a retail facility with tennis racquet stringing service available.

Roger has over 16 years of experience in tennis coaching and will be a valuable asset to our TSLC team. Roger's passion for the sport is evident in his ability to grow successful tennis programs and coaching several nationally ranked junior and tennis scholarship recipients. Roger's worldwide experience has included working in tennis programs in Canada, Caribbean, Asia and the Middle East. His ability to find the best in everyone's tennis game resulted in being selected as the PBI 2006 Professional of the Year.
