MEET PIERRE

Pierre Gagnon practiced concentration and insight meditation intensively from 2010 to 2012, then went on to study meditation at Wat Suan Mokkh
with the venerable Ajahn Po from 2013 to 2015.

Along with his own practice, he has coordinated meditation retreats in the south of Thailand which were attended by more than 1,000 people.
Having a great passion in the field of neuroscience, he likes to integrate these concepts into meditation practice. He believes that much of our life is lived resisting and defending against internal and external experiences that people perceive as threats.

Through the development of concentration and meditation, we can insightfully see that all experiences are harmless and there is no need to defend of contract around them.

Pierre has experience coordinating concentration and insight meditation retreats, teaching the relationship that exists between Buddhism and neurosciences.

With a Master’s degree in Management Science option Applied Economics from University of Montreal, Pierre participated in assessing the eviction effect of government spending on big infrastructure projects and evaluating the costs involved in judicial conflicts and the real and financial impact of tourism events.

He also contributed to the financial flow economic review of Canada’s banking sector and the estimation of the impact of a modification of the Retirement Registered Saving Plan of Canada (RRSP) on the balance of payment of the country (impact on the
outflow of capital).

MEET BEATA

Beata Justkowiak is a qualified Psychologist and Life Coach who believes that everyone is capable of being the best version of themselves.

Being an athlete herself, she has learnt the power of change and the pursuit of happiness. She listens well and people value her intuitive
approach and progressive attitude.

She has developed methods to help people find success in their daily lives
by remembering that everyone is unique. Therefore, she customizes her approach to the individual’s needs.

Whether your goals are sports-, personal- or career-related, she can collaborate with you to discover and unleash the power within yourself to make the change happen.

Beata received a Masters of Arts degree in Psychology from Adam Mickiewicz University. She also holds a Certificate in Coaching from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a Certificate in Sports and Society from Duke University USA, and a Certificate in Coaching Psychology from Warsaw University, Poland.

She is a member of the International Coach Federation and a full member of the Singapore Psychological Society.

Why is such a fundamental element to success is still misunderstood?
Through our Empathy, Trust, and Teamwork workshops we will allow you to realise that trust is at the core of any team.

Simply put: when there is no trust, there is no empathy and no team work. When we ask people to work together, we are asking them to trust that they will not be personally attacked by others.

They could be judged on what they do but not on what they are. A team can be built. To achieve this a team needs to develop trust and empathy toward each other. With the base of empathy, trust, and teamwork, a team can be built.

Business meeting in an office Employees spend a lot of time in meetings. It is valued that up to 50% of the time spent in these meetings is lost. Meetings are essential and can become a source of great cooperation and brainstorming between employees, though when people communicate they miss an essential element.

Through our Communication Workshop we will allow you to realise the ssential element of mindfulness and emotional intelligence.

We are not thinking creatures who feel but feeling creatures who think. Neglecting this element comes at a cost. We misunderstand each other and feel threatened by our coworkers and we react in a very primitive way.

Mindfulness and emotional intelligence will allow you to realise the importance of managing your feelings and to acknowledge the importance of other people’s feelings. Without this important element, no efficient communication can happen.

CREATIVITY

It is valued that up to 50% of employees have now to be creative at their workplace. In the next 20 years this number will likely increase. What is creativity and how is it different from intellectual reasoning? We see in the world an increase of intellectual capacities but a decrease of relativity.In today’s business world where people have to come up with new solutions to problems we have never encountered creativity is essential to success.
Mindfulness can develop tools that allows people to control their focus on a problem. It can allow people to focus and let go at specific times allowing them to come up with solutions that were inside them but that were initially inaccessible.

PRIORITIES

We have a tendency to be addicted to doing things. We think that by doing things we are going somewhere. We definitely are but without prioritizing we have no idea if we are devoting our energy to what really matters. Mindfulness can help us be aware of these patterns and become more effective by prioritizing. Being mindful of our activities and habitual unhealthy emotional patterns at work can allow us to realize that our time is simply not used efficiently.

CHANGE

Change is part of our lives, it is a great source of stress in the corporate world. What is our relationship with such an unavoidable reality of life? How can we learn to dance with change? We fear change because we overestimate the value of what we have and underestimate the value of what we could have. Mindfulness can help us to see change as an opportunity instead of a fear. Through our Creativity, Priorities, and Change Workshop we will allow you to see how mindfulness can help increase creativity, be more effective with prioritising and change fear into opportunity.

What is a zone of discomfort? We all experience it. As employees of an organisation we often sabotage ourselves by being too conscious of harmless little feelings in our view.

What are these sensations? How are they created? How do we attach to them such a negative perception that sometimes last a life time?

Being overwhelmed by discomfort forbids us from trying new things, from daring in life.

During this workshop, we are going to bring you in a zone of discomfort and allow you to see that this zone is harmless. In life we push away discomfort and it comes at a great cost. We limit ourselves.

Through our Discomfort Workshop, we will allow you to see that with mindfulness we can learn to be comfortable with discomfort.

Increasing our mindfulness and awareness of our fears, feelings, thoughts will always increase our performance. By being able to focus more on what we do and avoiding being distracted by irrelevant fears that invade us constantly, we can see how faster and better we accomplish things in life.

Mindfulness, the capacity to manage our feelings and understanding other people’s feelings in life allows us to stop speculating about
all kinds of insecurities and come back to our natural well-being.

Through our Mental Energy, Balance, and Performance workshop, we will allow you to see that getting rid of these speculations will increase performance and give you more mental energy and capacity to balance your life.
